Glass nutsche filters separate solids from liquid after reaction, crystallisation or extraction. Depending on the process, the valuable stream may be the filter cake or the clarified liquid, so cake volume, filtrate capacity, cloth support and discharge access are engineered around the duty.
Borosilicate glass and PTFE contact parts resist many corrosive slurries while allowing operators to observe filtration and cake formation. User-focused cover, cloth and side-access arrangements simplify harvesting, cleaning and maintenance.
