Glass shell-and-tube heat exchanger

Corrosion-resistant heat transfer

Make thermal performance visible and maintainable.

Glass shell-and-tube heat exchangers bring corrosion resistance and direct observation to heating, cooling, condensation, evaporation, absorption and waste-heat duties. Modular construction allows major parts such as shells, tube sheets, tubes and bonnets to be removed for cleaning or replacement. Materials and orientation are selected around the process fluid, utility pressure, temperature and heat-transfer area. Options include all-glass units, metal shells with glass tubes, and shell-and-graphite-tube combinations for demanding duties.

Up to 40 m²

All-glass shell-and-tube heat-transfer area.

Up to 50 m²

Metal-shell and glass-tube configurations.

0.2–4 m²

Modular glass coil heat exchangers.

Multiple orientations

Horizontal, vertical or inclined installation.

Salient features

Adapt materials and geometry to the thermal duty.

Shell, tubes, bonnet, pass arrangement and orientation can be configured independently for the process.

Broad process duties

Heat, cool, condense, evaporate, absorb or recover waste heat.

Replaceable internals

Removable tubes and components simplify repair and cleaning.

Material flexibility

Glass, stainless steel, mild steel, FRP, PTFE-lined and graphite options.

Space-efficient installation

Vertical or horizontal layouts suit the available plant envelope.

Pass selection

Single-, double- or triple-pass metallic bonnets are available.

Visible operation

Glass construction exposes condensation, boiling and fouling.

Heat-exchanger families

Choose shell-and-tube or modular coil construction.

Required area, utility pressure, corrosion duty and maintenance strategy guide the construction choice.

Shell-and-tube heat exchangers

Scalable modular equipment for larger thermal duties

Glass tubes can be combined with glass or metal shells, while graphite-tube versions extend capability for aggressive service.
