Digital vacuum controller for a rotary evaporator

Evaporation control

Hold the vacuum where efficient evaporation and condensation meet.

Applying the deepest available vacuum can lower a solvent’s boiling point too close to the coolant temperature, allowing vapour to pass through the condenser and into the vacuum source. A controller instead maintains the process pressure selected for effective evaporation and condensation, helping improve solvent recovery and reproducibility. The system combines a vacuum transmitter, controller, electromagnetic isolation valve and an integrated control panel. The valve closes at setpoint and reopens as vapour pressure changes. A manual air-purge or fine-control valve supports stable regulation across different system volumes and vacuum-pump capacities.

Stable pressure

Automatic regulation around the selected vacuum setpoint.

Lower solvent loss

Keep boiling temperature above the coolant range.

5–50 L lab duty

Portable control for common development-scale systems.

Scalable design

Production and flameproof configurations are available.

Salient features

Practical control for changing solvents and process conditions.

The final equipment arrangement, materials and controls are selected around the process duty and site conditions.

Automatic regulation

A transmitter and electromagnetic valve maintain the required pressure.

Configurable units

Set and monitor vacuum in mbar, Torr, kPa or another preferred unit.

Ready to connect

Install between the process receiver and vacuum source, then set the target.

Manual fine control

Air purge and vacuum-release functions support accurate adjustment.

Pump control option

The vacuum pump can be stopped during the closed-valve control cycle.

Process customisation

Materials, automation and flameproof execution can match production duties.

System configuration

Choose the controller format for the process scale.

Setpoint range, connection size, wetted materials and area classification are confirmed against the vessel, solvent and vacuum source.
